Guelph Community Singers is a group of people who want to share the power and beauty of creating and exploring music with each other and with our wider community. We believe all people are singers and welcome all to join us.
If you have ever wanted the experience of singing with a group of people, or already know the joy of creating music together, come join us. If you can't read music, don't worry, we will be providing practice mp3 files from which to learn your parts. If you were told as a child to "just mouth the words", then we're the choir for you! If you are an experienced choral singer, come have fun learning new repertoire and being part of an exciting and fun new choir. We sing an eclectic repertoire, spanning centuries, genres, and continents. It's all about creating the music together, and it is the "being together" part that makes it beautiful.
WHO: All over 16 are welcome.
WHEN: Wednesday nights from 7:30 to 9:00 pm. New session starts February 1, 2012!
WHERE: Paisley Memorial Church, 40 Margaret St., Guelph
COST: There are 3 fee tiers to choose from: $50, $75, or $100 for the 18 week session. There are two sessions a year, mid-September to late January, and late January to mid-June. You decide which level you can afford to pay. All members are equal. The different fees are just to help make it financially accessible for all. (If the lowest fee is beyond your ability to pay, just let us know and we'll find an amount you are able to manage.)
FREE NIGHT: We always allow potential choir members to attend one practice for free before committing to join. This gives you a chance to get a feel for the choir before committing your time and money.
